7. Your content

“Your content” means everything you submit, upload, publish, transmit or display through the Service: advertisement text, profile information, photographs, video, Stories, Highlights, links, messages, and anything else you provide.

You represent and warrant, for all of your content, that:

  • you own it, or are authorised to use and publish it
  • it may lawfully be published where it will be seen
  • it does not infringe anybody's intellectual-property, privacy or publicity rights
  • every person depicted is an adult and has consented to that depiction being published
  • it does not unlawfully involve a minor in any way
  • it does not contain intimate imagery of anybody who has not consented to its publication
  • it does not depict or promote trafficking, coercion, or the exploitation of any person
  • it does not deceptively impersonate another person, business or organisation
  • it is accurate about you, your services and your prices

You keep ownership of your content. You grant Roesas a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, resize, transcode, watermark, display, transmit and distribute your content to the extent necessary to operate, moderate, secure and provide the Service, and to display your advertisement on the Service and in previews of it.

That licence is limited to operating the Service. It ends when the content is removed, except to the extent a copy is retained in backups, in moderation and enforcement records, or as required by law. The Privacy Policy describes what is retained and for how long.

8. Roesas's intellectual property, and misuse of the Service

The Service itself, including its software, design, text, layout, trade marks and branding, belongs to Roesas or its licensors. These Terms give you no right in it beyond using the Service as intended.

Do not copy, scrape, mirror, republish or systematically extract the Service or its listings, and do not use Roesas branding in a way that suggests endorsement, affiliation or verification you have not been given.

Do not interfere with the Service or attempt to. That includes probing, scanning or testing its security; circumventing any access control, rate limit or verification step; using automated means to create accounts or submit forms; interfering with anybody else’s use of it; and using the Service to distribute malicious code.

Do not impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with anybody, and do not use the Service to harass, threaten or defraud anybody, on or off the platform.

9. Policies that form part of these Terms

The following are incorporated into these Terms by reference. Using the Service means agreeing to all of them, and a breach of any of them is a breach of these Terms:

Where a policy addresses a subject in more detail than these Terms, the policy governs that subject.

Advertisers may in addition be required to sign a separate agreement for each advertisement. Where such an agreement has been signed, it applies to that advertisement in addition to these Terms.

10. Review, moderation and enforcement

Advertisement text and photographs are reviewed by a person before publication, and again after an edit. An edited advertisement returns for review and is not public until that review is complete. Roesas may approve, decline or remove any advertisement, photograph or other content at its discretion, and is not obliged to publish anything.

Where Roesas determines that these Terms or an incorporated policy have been broken, it may:

  • decline to publish, or remove, an advertisement, a photograph or any other content
  • suspend an advertisement, which takes it off the Service and out of its owner's control until a person has reviewed it
  • restrict access to the Service or to particular functionality
  • refuse to provide the Service to you
  • terminate an advertisement or an account
  • take any other enforcement measure available to it

Where the concern is serious, Roesas may act immediately and without prior notice. There is no guarantee of advance warning, of an opportunity to correct the conduct, or of any particular process. The conduct that always counts as serious is set out in the Acceptable Use policy.

Roesas may keep records of what it found and of the action it took, and may cooperate with law enforcement and other lawful authorities, including by disclosing information where it is required or permitted by law to do so.

Removal, suspension or termination for a breach does not create a refund or a credit for unused advertising time. That is set out in the Payment, Cancellation & Refund Policy.

Anybody may report content on the Service, with or without an account. Suspected trafficking, coercion, exploitation or the involvement of anybody under 18 should be reported through the trafficking and exploitation form, and stolen, unauthorised or impersonating photographs through the fake photographs and impersonation form. A claim that material infringes a copyright you own is a separate process, set out on the copyright complaint page.

Reporting something to Roesas is not the same as reporting it to the authorities, and does not replace doing so. Roesas is not an emergency service, does not investigate, has no law-enforcement powers, and does not promise that any report will be acted on within any particular time. If somebody is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services. The Safety page lists authoritative places to report.

11. Advertising fees

Advertising is sold as a 30-day advertising period unless stated otherwise at the point of purchase. An advertisement is reviewed and approved before payment is taken, and becomes public only once the fee is paid and the other requirements continue to be met.

What is bought, when payment happens, and when a refund is and is not available are set out in full in the Payment, Cancellation & Refund Policy, which governs those subjects.

These terms may be updated from time to time. The version published here is the current one.
